I photograph as an act of noticing

of pausing…

i’m drawn to moments that are personal and at the same time suprisingly & inevitably, universal.

gestures, silence, space, stories and always colour and light

the work is not finished when the image is made

it completes itself in the sharing, when a photograph leaves my hands and finds another set of eyes, another life.

this is a gift - a connection - for which i am grateful

i believe the world is, still, more beautiful than it is awful

that paying attention gently and deliberately is a way of loving it

of connecting to it

remember when...

Images that I loved once upon a time and still do now - sometimes for new & different reasons. This collection changes often, guided by mood, memory, and whatever happens to be currently catching my eye. old favourites resurface. others drift away. it all depends on which way I’m looking and where from.

images made in collaboration with people who invited me in, shared their ideas, and trusted the process. This work is shaped by conversation, curiosity, and a lot of mutual goodwill. Each project begins with a conversation, grows through trust, and ends in something shared. these commissions were created with a little structure, a lot of trust, and … plenty of room to play with gleeful abandon.
